September 11th, Never Forget

It was a day of tragedy and Triumph

Where were you on that fateful day? If asked, almost every American can tell you exactly what they were doing at the moment of our nations most devastating attack. Why? Because, traumatizing events of this magnitude etch themselves deep into our mental psyche. We cannot allow ourselves to forget the events that occurred that fateful day.  For if we do, then the prophetic words of Jorge Santayana may be fully realized. We at Bullocks Towing, are proud of how we endured that tragic day, so long ago.  Amazingly, we as a nation picked ourselves up, dusted off and got about the business of continuing our lives. That’s what we do and that is what defines us as a nation.  However, we can never forget those who died that day. We must remind ourselves that the price of freedom is vigilance.  Vigilance in our preparation, our selection of capable leaders, and our pursuit of the American Dream.  Let our motto be: “September 11th, Never Forget, Never Forsake”.  We encourage you, to take the time right now to ponder those events and search within for that courage to honor those who lost their lives.  Honor them by creating a safer and greater America.  If you feel as we do, we encourage you to let your voice be known.  Resolve today to be active in your freedom and in the privilege’s of a true republic.A 1936 image from Time MagazineIt was Jorge Agustín Nicolás Ruiz de Santayana y Borrás, known in English as George Santayana, a poet, philosopher, Essayist, and Novelist who first coined the phrase, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it“.  There is great truth and wisdom in those few words.  One of our greatest challenges as Americans, is one of overcoming our short term memory problems.  We truly do need to remember the tragic events that shaped our nation.  How else can we prepare ourselves to weather the next great cataclysmic event?
